This year backstage we have seen little to no use of foundation on the skin. Models pranced down the catwalk, bare-faced and muted. Are we doing away with our spackle and sponge of our most prized foundation?…Well not exactly, but there is a great emphasis on concealing and only covering areas that are needed. Hence, that pimple that arrived yesterday at noon, will need covering.
So what do you use if you too are letting your skin go to the basics? Try Bobbi Brown’s Creamy Concealer Kit ($35), a Creamy Concealer, and Sheer Finish Powder all in one! If you need to conceal and highlight, try a cult favorite, Yves Saint Laurent Touché Éclat ($40). This great concealer is sure to leave behind any trace of last night’s cocktail party.
Blending is key when working with concealer. Dab concealer in with your ring finger for the best blending. It’s the perfect fit for around your eyes, and other select areas of the face. Pat, and smooth until it is blended completely. Upon completion, you should appear fresh and concealed. Maybe ditching your Armani foundation for the day may not be as bad as you thought!
