Fall Bargain Shopping. Looks for Less…All Under $100

October 6, 2008 • Shopping

As an admitted label snob, I am starting to feel the pressure to pinch pennies. Times are tough, but I still want to look good. So I’m thinking…Givenchy for Graham Crackers. Louboutins for Lasagna. YSL for Yoodles. Rodarte for Ramen. Hey, a girl has to make some sacrifices and sometimes it’s food!

So I cruised some sites I admit I normally don’t visit very often to see what I could find under $100 that I would actually (and truly) wear. The key to pulling off wearing um…’cheaper’ clothes is to mix them with the expensive items you already own. By now we have all heard of the ‘hi/lo concept’ of mixing an matching. It seems this year we will be focusing on buying lo and mixing with already owned hi (from years of mass designer consumption).

One point I can not stress enough is not to buy cheap handbags. Seriously…if you are going to splurge on anything this year make it a leather or suede bag. No PVC. Trust me…everyone can tell the difference. You can find shoes that are stylish for under $100, but my recommendation is to look for suede or keep it black and simple. Also, black clothing looks better than a cheap print or pattern when you are shopping at a lower price-point. Make sure plaid seams match up.

Well the party isn’t necessarily over…here are some great fall bargains that are on fashion point and under $100!
