Someone call the PETA Police. The city of Paris is in major violation of accessorizing with fur. From shawls and vests to boleros and full-length coats, fur is the hottest trend for the fall.
Although I happen to think it’s inappropriate to wear fur in 60-degree weather, it has already invaded every Parisian’s wardrobe. Every time I step foot out of my apartment, I am bombarded with the sight of fur — either in window displays or on women in the street. Whether you’re anti or pro fur, you can’t avoid it this season.

Check out peta2.com to download and print out (really scary) masks of the Olsen Twins. Also check out the (really gruesome) ‘Take Action’ section — it just might change your mind about buying real fur…
I must admit I own a sweet rabbit fur vest, which I purchased for 10 euros at a vintage store in the Marais several years ago. While I don’t advocate the killing of animals solely for their furs, I do support not wasting the fur pieces that are available out there via vintage stores and estate sales (plus you get much better buys this way). So if you just have to have the real thing, at least buy it second hand!
