Last Thursday I attended a Levi’s Fashion Preview sponsored by Glam. I was able to catch up with fashion writers I have not seen since fashion week, drink champagne and try on denim to my heart’s content. I have to admit I have not been in a Levi’s in years and have not owned a pair since I was a teenager. Things have certainly changed and for the better!
First of all, the staff at the store where the event was held (at 25 W. 14th St in NYC) could not have been nicer or more helpful (ask for France if you are there). The selection was also vast, huge actually!
After trying on 9 pairs of jeans I settled on a pair of 522 mid-rise straight-leg jeans in premium denim for $98 (pictured below)
I think they are possibly my new favorites! They are not too high-cut or too low-slung. No wonder the Mid Rise Straight 552™ Jean is Levi’s top-selling straight-leg style. They come in a variety of denims and range from $60 – $98.
I also tried on the boyfriend jeans (not pictures, but in stores) which seemed to be very popular, but opted for the more flattering pair above.
Here are some others I tried on:
There were also some cute sweaters, girlie flannel shirts, and great silk tops that were a hit with the crowd. How refreshing to find denim you want to live in for a lot less than so much of the designer denim on the market today.
