The Demise of Celebrity Designers. Heidiwood Discontinued

October 24, 2008 • Celebrity Style

We’ve just heard some terrible news. We were just about to snatch up our very own pair of Heidi Montag knee socks when — gasp! — we heard Heidiwood, the clothing line started up by the photo-seeking star has been discontinued. In a line of amazing celeb clothing labels, her own on-again, off-again friend Lauren Conrad included, we thought this one was really going to make it.

Well, some even bigger news. Apparently, it seems closing this line isn’t a reflection of poor sales (really?), only that her parent retail company "Anchor Blue" is moving in a different direction. The company is expected to close around 40 stores across the U.S. in the next few months.

Don’t worry, I’m sure she’ll be consoled by the sneaky upstanding Audrina Patridge.  Apparently, they’re BFFs again.
