Madonna is in Chicago for her “Sticky and Sweet” tour and she is performing at the United Center!
Now, believe it or not, even you can wear what Madonna wore last night! No not on your body, Silly, but on your face! With the shu uemura “Eye Candy” look.
This look was designed by shu uemura’s Artistic Director and long-time Madonna makeup artist Gina Brooke. Gina was at Saks Fifth Avenue on Saturday and gave first hand tips to customers.
"As Madonna is known as the “Queen of Reinvention” we wanted to create a look that she has never done before this tour. This look has a heavy focus on the eyes – it’s her best attribute! We wanted to do something that would enhance her eyes and fit throughout the four sections of the show – ‘Pimp’, ‘Old School’, ‘Gypsy’ and ‘Rave’,” commented Brooke on Madonna’s new look for this tour. “It’s a revision on a classic look of the glamorous women of the 60’s.”
Here are a couple tips from Gina on how to get the look:
STEP 1: Prepare the face
As I always say, “beautiful makeup starts with skin”. Begin with prepping the eyes with the DEPSEA MOISTURE REPLENISHING MASK. This will not only calm puffiness but it will give your eyes the ultimate hydration. Then apply PHYTO BLACK LIFT FIRMING CREAM on the whole face – it’s an amazing moisturizer and also reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Lastly, apply FACE ARCHITECT REMODELING CREAM FOUNDATION beginning at the arch of your brow down to the middle of your eye, directly onto the middle of the cheekbone. Each time the sun reflects off your skin, it will create the illusion of glowing, dewy, healthy, radiant skin!
STEP 2: Prime the eyelids
Using a KOLINSKY BRUSH 11, apply PRESSED EYE SHADOW in M BEIGE 800 above the eyelids. Then, use COVER CRAYON in 9YR LIGHT in the inner corner and water line of the eyes to make them appear larger. Using the LIQUID EYELINER, begin at the inner corners extending the line out all the way to the end of the eyebrow.
STEP 3: Prep the lashes
Use the EYELASH CURLER before applying ULTIMATE EXPRESSION MASCARA beginning at the base and rolling the brush through the tips of lashes. Now here’s the trick to make eyes pop – interweave two pairs of FALSE EYELASHES S217 to create an atmosphere of black around the eye.
STEP 4: Finish off with the lips
Since the focus is on the eyes, use ROUGE UNLIMITED in BG 949 layered with GLOSS UNLIMITED in BG 930N for a soft, natural look.
