Lucky magazine’s November ’08 issue parlays the wonders of the traditional tuxedo look transformed into today’s hottest trends. It spoke of one polyester dress by DKNY Jeans "as the traditional tux translated into a figure-enhancing dress." (Unfortunately I can no longer find the dress online in black and white!)
This got me thinking about that whole tuxedo look best exemplified by Gwyneth Paltrow‘s numerous blazers and that eponymous Viktor & Rolf crepe bib dress which has since sold out at Net-A-Porter.
Kate Bosworth, always one to "try the trends" recently wore her own version of a black-and-white tuxedo dress at this year’s Glamour Women of The Year awards. We must say she looks rather sleek.
Care to find your own tuxedo dress-inspired look? Choose one from Shoshanna’s line of black and white sheaths at Nordstrom.com. It comes in a halter version, pleated ruffles, and a silk faux two-piece.
