As expected, the H&M Comme de Garçons launch in NYC today was a madhouse. I didn’t brave it, but Racked.com did and reported that people went mad, just mad for polka dots! Follow Racked’s foray into the jungle here. Hey, it’s great to see people shopping!
On the other hand, the anticipated first NY sample sale of California label Mike & Chris was a bust. Did they send notice they were postponing their sample sale? No. They just didn’t show up. The nerve! Thankfully NY Mag let them know that’s not how New Yorker’s roll. They went so far as to call a
representative for Mike & Chris, who told them there was a "major
shipping error" with the boxes of merchandise they planned to sell, and
the company is "incredibly sorry for the major inconvenience to the
people who went to the sale," which was supposed to feature tops,
bottoms, fleeces, bags, and leather goods for up to 75% off from
today until Saturday. So if you were planning to head over there, don’t. Or you can try again (if you dare) in four to six weeks….when they claim they will ‘try again.’ You have been warned!
Update: Racked.com is now reporting that Mike & Chris could be going belly up. Read more here.See the Top Ten Summer 2016 Trends for Women Over 40
