Andra Naylor for Second City Style Magazine
I am not a Bond buff by any means, but I loved Casino Royale and am looking forward to seeing Quantum of Solace.
If a storyline can continue to thrill 22 movies later, there’s
something to be said about the characters, the scenery and the action. There’s also something to be said about the fashion. A Bond woman is sexy, powerful and mysterious, not a bad combination to invoke next time you’re getting ready for a night out. Channel your own Jinx, Vesper or Agent Fields by embracing the elements that make up true iconic Bond girl style.
A Bond girl has a wardrobe bursting full of floor-skimming,
body-molding gowns necessary for many a night of intrigue. Though we
might not have an occasion for this kind of serious eveningwear, style
cues to take away are mixed metallics and bustier-inspired silhouettes.
I love the flashiness of Badgley Mischka’s gown from their Fall ’08 collection because, after all, Bond likes his women to make a splash.
