My best New Year’s was when I was in college and we had a huge party! I haven’t got to go out near as much since I’ve had children, but that dress is amazing! I might would have to if I won that! Thanks for the entry!

Thanks for the amazing giveaways! My best new years was 1999 – thanks to Prince! 🙂 Party likes it’s 1999!

My best New Year’s day was when I was a little kid. Me and my sister always spent hours and hours decorating Xmas tree (which we then kept until February sometimes:) but on New Year’s Eve our tree collapsed and most of the decorations got smashed (some of them have been in a family for many years)… We were so sad and the holiday didnt matter anymore. What a surprise it was when we woke up next day to find that the tree was decorated with many more ornaments… Our parents spent all night fixing what they could and making ornanments out of paper and fruits and candy:) That was the best gift we had:)

the best new years isn’t just about new year’s eve itself, but it’s also about the anticipation of what you KNOW is going to be an amazing year–my best new year’s was the last one, i had a great time out with friends hopping from party to party, with the best company– and i knew that 2008 would be absolutely fabulous!

I had been talking to a guy off an on that knew my friends brother. We had been talking for close to four months. Our mutual friend was planning a New Years Eve Ball, so we both ended up going. We shared our first kiss that night when watching the ball drop =] We’ve been together for four years now and plan to get married!

  6. Christine says:

My best New Year’s Eve was last year, when I was not yet officially dating my now boyfriend.
I was afraid to ask him to make plans with me because I wasn’t sure if he would want to make that commitment on such a big holiday.
I made plans with about 10 of my girlfriends to go to a party at a local (hotspot) bar in hopes that I would see him there.
I dressed up in a new dress and shoes I had bought just for the night and we all looked beautiful.
I was, however, thinking about him from the moment I left my apartment on…and how much I would give to see him and share this special night together.
He was not at the bar all night…and when the clock struck midnight I didn’t receive a kiss from him.
But I did receive a text from him which said: “Happy New Year Beautiful!”
That text message made my whole heart light up!
He was at his apartment with some friends, but told me he would love to see me if I wanted to come by.
    Of course I wanted to!
So, I ended up celebrating my New Year’s Eve after midnight with my heart’s desire….and I did finally get my first kiss of the year!
Since my prior New Year’s Eves had been so lonely for me, this year I truly had a wonderful night!

I have a long history of crap NYEs, so my favorite was my second one with my now-husband. Simple, quiet, perfect. My second favorite would be when I was about 7 or 8, and stayed at my grandmother’s while my parents went to a party — my grandmother and I went out on her driveway at midnight and banged wooden spoons on pots and pans. 🙂

My best New Years Eve was last year – my boyfriend took me out to dinner at a nice restaurant, we sipped champagne and watched the ball drop on TV. Very calm and relaxing and intimate. However, this year we’re probably going to a party, and this dress would be the perfect thing to wear! Thanks for the great giveaway!

When me and my husband went bar hopping with some friends! We had a great time!

My best new years was last year when I spent it with my entire family and we played board games, ate popcorn, and drank apple cider until midnight. It was refreshingly wholesome.

  11. hazel says:

My best new years ever was spent with my SO. It was our first new years together and we just stayed up and watched the ball drop while cuddling on the couch. It was very cute.

  12. Kristina says:

Hmm… a spectacularly best New Years is really not coming to mind since they’ve consisted of spoiled whiney girlfriends, nasty break-ups, making out with the completely wrong person, and watching a friend get engaged (I’m single of course). Oh, and then there’s the one that I spent at the infamous Clairmont Lounge (for those of you familiar with the Atl).
So, my best New Year’s story would have to be when I rang in good ‘ol 2008…I accepted a very last minute date with a guy that I really wasn’t that into, but figured why not since the “date” was a mini-vacation and an escape from the freezing cold. He spent the extra money for a last minute flight on the 29th, even upgraded me to first class as a special surprise, and whisked me away to ring in the new year in warm and sunny South Beach!
In theory, it should have been a fabulous New Year’s Eve. I arrived to find out that his “luxury” condo on the beach was the size of a large walk-in closet, the pool was a construction zone and closed due to renovations, and the foul stinch in his fridge was from the egg salad sandwiches he purchased by the dozens from the drugstore on the corner. To top it all off, just a few hours before we toasted to the new year, I found out that my “39-year-old” date had lied about his age and was actually 47 YEARS OLD! At the time, I was only 27. He was technically old enough to be my dad – icky!!! Needless to say I was quite happy to get on the plane and head home the next day!
I need something to turn my New Year’s luck around – maybe this dress is just that special something to do the trick! 🙂
