Jenn Scott for Second City Style Magazine
2008 was an exciting year for fashion. Many new, vibrant, and innovative ideas took center stage.
Some classics were brought back with punches of creativity, but there is one thing that always stays the same — fashion will always be about you own personal expression.
Don’t fear what’s new or undone! Even though designers and
fashion experts spend countless hours to provide a guideline for the
masses, there is still so much room for a tailor-made look.
The past year has been full of many surprises, but probably the biggest trends have been bright colors, ruffles, men’s-inspired wear, and some of the most outrageous shoes you’ve ever seen.
With brights, you always have to be careful not to
overdo it. If so, you end up looking like an 80’s punk. Remember, keep
it as a simple statement piece, not a scary-looking, florescent mess.
