Dear Mrs. Obama: Four Designers We’d Love To See You Wear

Last week the most stylish first lady since Jackie O. moved into the White House
– and the next four years are bound to be filled with plenty of
fabulous ensembles worn by Michelle and her two adorable daughters. Of
course, she’s already known for her penchant for pushing the fashion
envelope in an elegant yet accessible way, given her previous choices
of under-the-radar designers like Thakoon, Isabel Toledo, and Jason
Wu along with mass market brands like J.Crew and White House/Black
. And while she does make bold sartorial statements, her
vibrant and unique personality always shines through. Here are four
more designers we think belong in her White House closet:

Sari Gueron: Her little dresses are feminine
without being girly and sweet without being saccharine, making them
ideal daytime pieces for a First Lady. We especially like this
little black dress with embroidered sleeves and this slightly retro
scarlet top with a bow at the neckline.
Wouldn’t Michelle look just stunning in this color?

Zac Posen: As America’s leading lady, Michelle is
going to need plenty of chic night time ensembles, and Zac Posen’s
contemporary cocktail frocks certainly fit the bill. We could see
Michelle looking amazing in this deep blue ombré dress or this citrus yellow sheath – not many women can pull off this hue, but yellow is definitely Michelle’s color.
