Summary: I am learning to appreciate fashion presentations over runway shows. For one, you always get a good view. Two, you really get to see the collection up close and personal. For her Fall '09 presentation, Rachel Roy’s organized her models in color stories. "Inward tranquility from finding strength in what is true and
elegant," remarked Rachel Roy about her collection. Much of which I found to be a little more spring than fall which seems to be an emerging trend this season. There was underwear as outerwear, asymmetrical hems, cut-outs, plunging necklines and strong shoulders combined with refined elegance. To add to the third dimension futuristic vibe were blunt bobbed wigs, pale glossy makeup with a shock of black lips gloss…a trend we were hopping would die after last season. Jetsons, here we come.
