I think next season we are going to forgo going backstage. I know
some think it's cool, but personally, I don't. Why? Mainly, you feel in
the way. So let's just say I took a few pictures and high-tailed it out
of there. I preferred watching the scene unfold from the
mezzanine/balcony where I had a front and center view of all the action
and people filing in for the show. In fact, instead of sitting, I chose
to stay there for the show.
The show was held at the historic
Jane Hotel in the West Village. The main room was an amazing backdrop
for a show with it's chandeliers and fireplace, but murder for catching
a cab afterwards.

Designer Cynthia Rowley shielding her face from the photographers' flashes. Now you know what celebrities go through before a show. Poor them (not so much).
