Summary: Cynthia Rowley's Fall '09 collection obviously had the current economy in mind. How? It was all about the accessories and we all know when a woman is trying to pinch her pennies, the best way to update last year's wardrobe is to accessorize…you know, get crafty and creative. Rowley acknowledged this need to be more resourceful by giving us a collection that is timeless and accessories that are covetable and multi-purposed. The jewel encrusted tights in themsleves are a must-own item for any fashionista's wardrobe as are the onyx wishbone necklacces that could certainly update the plainest of LBD's from one's closet. As for the collection istelf, it was not really innovative, but it was pretty and wearable for seasons to come. The ribbon panneling and mixing of patterns felt almost in arts and crafty. Holly Hobby it wasn't. Pair anyting with jeweled tights and slouchy boots and you have a recessionary edge. Thanks for giving a girl a break this year.
