Summary: Denim, leather and lace, fringe, studs and flannel–some call the William Rast show a return to classic, James Dean-esque Americana. But In small town America, overgrown adolescents are perched on the hoods of their cars in Wal-mart parking lots or drinking Bud Light in honky tonk bars wearing the same clothes. What's worse, they've been there for 15 years and they paid far less than what the collection will retail for come fall. Is that where Justin Timberlake got his inspiration? I don't care who's backing the show: Acid wash, shoulder pads, and appliques that could have come from Michael's Craft Store do not a fashion show make. That said, the production value was fantastic, leading me to believe that Justin should stick to what he does best–music and great shows–and leave clothing design to someone–anyone–else.
