Summary: The Jill Stuart Fall 2009 Collection that debuted at the New York Public Library was inspired by icons of the music industry, such as Francoise Hardy. The powerful, personal styles these women embody was a point of reference for the Jill Stuart collection. The hard edge from the female musicians mixed with the soft moods of "Last Tango in Paris" made way for a show filled with pretty and edge. As for the silhouettes flashed across the runway, there were many ruffle tiered minis, big balloon sleeves and accented waists. Between the lace, ruffles and other rich textures, I was in love. Let's just say, if I could have snatched the clothes off the models without getting caught, I totally would have!

Color Palette: Black, ivory, light gray, charcoal, plum, lilac, muted pink

Textures & Details: Velvet, lace, silk, cashmere knits, fur, leather, beaded embellishments, chains, pinstripes, florals, ruffles, bow details, metallic

Key Looks: Ivory ruffle front dress with bow detail at waist; light gray ruffle hem and v-neck dress with lace driving gloves and felt fedora; purple floral print draped dress with lace driving gloves and felt fedora
