Summary: Vegans and PETA members should read no further. Dennis Basso's collection was, as always, a parade of pelts and skins. But rather than a staid, ladies-who-lunch look, he mixed it up–literally splicing different furs together–and employed youthful, architectural shapes that were anything but stodgy. That Basso says the furs are "translated for a more casual, daytime look," makes me assume that his days are infinitely more interesting than mine, but his use of wide snakeskin belts to cinch coats is an attractive, easy takeaway for the fur-less everywoman.
