Summary: Nanette Lepore's Fall 2009 Collection was filled with hues such as violet and rose and blended with an amber glow. Romantic knits, a mixture of prints and shimmery pailletes resembled Paris at twilight. Models marched down the runway to the beat of French pop music for a cohesive nuance. While Lepore's new collection had the same blousey tops and twill coats we have all been accustomed to, there seemed to be an edgier tone. Leather pants and leopard print shoes and belts? Not so signature Nanette Lepore. On the plus side, between the rest of the Lepore's shimmering collection, music and Parisian backdrop, the show was beautiful and really felt like an evening in Paris.
