Target Gets a Face Lift: The Retailer’s Intuitive Idea

March 4, 2009 • Shopping

We've all come to know and love Target (as we of course, haughtily pronounce Tar-jay) and all the great easy on the pocket, yet fashionable merchandise it has to offer. Well, with the help of California's Intuition owner, Jaye Hersh, Target will soon be offering more fashion fun. This fantastic specialty shop (also online) showcases some of the trendiest clothing and accessories Hollywood's royalty flock to. Finally, Target's collaboration with Jaye Hersh will offer a new line of fashionable merchandise, called Hollywood Intuition.

Back in 2006, Hersh launched "Target Couture" which was sold exclusively at her Intuition boutique. The collection featured diamond encrusted bulls-eyes, cashmere sweaters and luxe denim, all retailing from $25 to $3000. Let's face it, this was probably the closest some of Hersh's clients ever came to shopping at Target. Luckily, Hersh has decided to once again team up with Target to create a fashion-forward line for the masses. Super trendy accessories, such as sunglasses, handbags, jewelry and scarves will be offered at much more economically-pleasing prices. (As cheap as $2.99 to $29.99!)

The best part of Hollywood Intuition? "The products that we're featuring will actually be very instructional to the guest," says Hersh. A great idea for Target's fashion followers! Customers will then know how to wear a belt bag and later turn it into a bag worn over the shoulder. Hersh continues, "We'll present all that as a story. The way it's merchandised will be unlike anything Target's done before."

Keep a look out for Target's Hollywood Intuition. It will be sold through spring 2010, a much longer stint than Go International, Target's collaboration with various designers.
