Rachel Yeomans for Second City Style Magazine
With spring just around the corner, I decided to be ambitious with a
couple of those goals that have been gathering dust in the corner of my
to-do list. The most recently endeavored is learning the language of
love — or in my definition, the language of fashion.
After battling the French vocabulary and finally having an excuse to
buy the insanely costly French Vogue, I decided to take this particular
goal a step further. I wanted to speak French, read French, write French, understand French, and now I want to wear French.
Obviously the French designer powerhouses of Chanel, Christian Lacroix, Dior and Christian Louboutin,
just to name a few, are a little out of my reach at this point. However
that doesn’t mean I can’t start looking through some other windows
toward the French fashion world to give my wardrobe a spice of European

clothing line has always been a favorite of mine. I discovered her line
when she designed for Target’s Go International line in 2006, and I
have been following her designs ever since. What a fantastic designer
to start incorporating into my overly-American wardrobe!
