Shoshanna: Spring Dresses for Every Body

March 13, 2009 • Fashion

"Inclusive" isn't just a political buzzword–it's a fashion philosophy as well. Leading the pack for designers who take curves into consideration is Shoshanna, whose collection of dresses, separates and swimwear is designed to be practical as well as pretty.

As always, her spring line features easy, flattering silhouettes, bright colors–kelly green, tomato red plus lots of white–and pretty prints. The clothes are also filled with thoughtful touches: dresses have invisible pockets, and strapless pieces come with a built in corset–not a flimsy elastic "shelf bra"–so women with both small and large busts can feel confidently encased.

Swimwear–including the "Made with Love" line, a collaboration with longtime friend Charlotte Ronson–manages to find the perfect mix of playful and sophisticated. Watch Shoshanna talk about how her swimsuits are created to have women of all shapes and sizes looking–and feeling–great on the beach this summer.

EVERY body? Golly, when did Shoshana add a plus-size line? Did I miss it?

  2. I love the flutter-sleeved dress at the far left!
