As the days gradually get warmer, your wardrobe is undergoing some serious changes! Thicker, warmer fabrics are being pushed to the back of the closet, and those light, cooler fabrics are now getting some face time.

With any season change, comes the exciting and somewhat daunting task of updating your wardrobe. Luckily, the fashion industry does an excellent job of directing us to what’s hot and what’s not.

This spring, the runway is full of bright colors, light fabrics, and flirty florals. Having a few staples for spring will ensure that you stay looking hot no matter what the temperature is outside!

First things first — every good wardrobe needs a light trench coat for those cool spring evenings and light rain showers. Since bright colors are hot for the spring, don’t hesitate to add some sass. You can never go wrong with black or white as well. In fact, but two.

Another spring staple is the flirty floral! Not only is it feminine and fun, it gives a classic yet playful look. There will be an array of beautiful dresses available this season, so take advantage of the classic look!

It is time to display those legs! This season offers a rather exciting selection of shorts. The best thing about shorts is that you can wear them for dressier occasions depending on the fabric that you choose. Stay with soft, silky fabrics and the sky is the limit when it comes to color.

Aside from the staples, don’t forget to have a little fun with spring fashion. Minis are back in full force, and the flashier the better! Keeping a little bit of embellishment in for the season helps create drama for your look.

As far as colors go, pastels are always a sure shot at staying safe for the spring months. If you want to be a bit brighter, then don’t forget that bright colors were all over the runway. Make sure that while you are updating your wardrobe you are choosing the things that you like. And don’t forget to have fun!
