Retail Detail. Net-a-Porter’s Much Anticipated ‘The Outnet’ Launches Today

April 16, 2009 • Shopping

Welcome to The Outnet (kinda like the Outback, no?). Net-a-Porter founder Natalie Massenet's much-anticipated The Outnet finally launched this morning.

The outlet site is bare bones (compared to it's big sister), but easy to navigate. Right now there are 200 brands stocked (but not enough handbags in my opinion) and you can search by designer, by category, percentage off or size. You can also click on 'Dress Me' where you can search by occasion. Added bonus? Also, there will also be seventy-two hour pop-up sales on rotating items.

Not everything is a Net-a-Porter reject or final clearance, but I did recognize quite a bit from the site. And beware, if you love something, grab it because this designer stuff is selling fast! There are 'sold out' items all over the place.

Shop The Outnet here.
