Who says high fashion women have to have high priced clothing for everything they wear? Every day a new high-end designer is collaborating with a low-priced label to design the latest fashion duds. Karl Lagerfeld, Matthew Williamson, Alice & Olivia, even Madonna herself have combined their style know-how for low-budget fashion meccas like H&M, Target, and Payless.

And yet, we see this all the time on celebs. That basic white tee under that couture-like menswear vest, the $26 dress…

So why can’t we do that too? Maybe you’ve seen the NYPost article about the 10 rules for mixing designer duds with stylish deals. Angelina Jolie anyone?

Take a tip from these celebs who are our all-time favorite high/low fashion mixers while still remaining the reigning fashion divas of the moment.

Angelina Jolie & The $26 Dress

It was all over the fashion blogs. Angelina wears the $26 dress from Los Angeles thrift store Wasteland for her A Mighty Heart premiere with $600-plus Christian Louboutin peep toes. The movie actress, UN spokeswoman and mom of 6 told news reporters she found the frock at the vintage store on LA’s Melrose Avenue. The black crushed velvet looked stunning on her fit physique.

Kate Bosworth & The Gap Sweater

Remember Kate Bosworth and her Gap sweaters? People magazine reported that most of her designer clothing is just too pricey for us, but not these babies. One grey and white striped number was part of Gap’s pre-fall collection for just $45. Another bright yellow cashmere v-neck was only $98. We’re sure her dark-wash skinny jeans and flats were twice more then that!

Kate Moss & Topshop
How many times have we seen Kate Moss in her own burgeoning fashion label Topshop? More then we can count! We’ve seen her in Topshop blazers, jeans, even a wedding dress! But this little number did us in. Matching high and low, the model and burgeoning businesswoman came to a celebration dinner for her Topshop store wearing a Topshop tuxedo jacket and Topshop chiffon zebra-striped dress with tights and high-end YSL platforms.

Keira Knightley & Topshop

Keira Knightley too loves the quirky, edgy, but highly stylish Kate Moss-embossed fashion label Topshop! So much so that she’s been in seen in many a Topshop dress. But we loved about this one here is that she accessorized her black and white checkered $80 frock with black tights, lace up boots, and a nifty high-end Chanel handbag.

Katy Perry & Matthew Williamson for H&M

We love Katy Perry’s kitschy clothes and so we were again pleased to see her in Matthew Williamson’s feather-printed peacock dress for low-end label H&M. Her off-beat pink metallic snakeskin-textured Lulu Guinness lips clutch? A cool $337.
