Chicago Retail Detail. Target to Pop Up on Michigan Ave.

April 28, 2009 • Fashion

Target_logo OK, let's get real. A full-fledged Target store on Michigan Ave. would be…just wrong. That would be like opening a Wal-Mart on 5th Avenue in New York. Yet, a three-day pop-up store seems totally plausible.

The temporary store, called Bullseye Bazaar, will open May 7 to May 9 in the former McCormick Freedom Museum at the Tribune Tower at 435 N. Michigan Ave. The shop will offer spring and summer fashions, accessories and beauty and home merchandise. However, don't expect to find dog food or tents at this location.

The pop-up stores are aimed at generating buzz and exclusivity…just in case you don't want to hit the mega stores on Elston and Roosevelt.
