Rumor has it Calvin Klein designer Francisco Costa is the winner of this year’s National Design Awards for fashion. According to WWD, staffers at the Cooper-Hewitt
National Design Museum, which present the awards annually, remained mum about the 2009 finalists and winners to be unveiled
Friday. Ralph Rucci, Michael Maharam, architect Marc Tsurumaki, Antenna Design’s Sigi Moeslinger, Office dA’s Monica Ponce de Leon, Google’s Marissa Mayer and YouTube’s Margaret Stewart
were some of this year’s jurors.
Also, check out Friday's “Martha Stewart Show,” on Friday. Costa will be on the show taking viewers into the Calvin Klein atelier and
demonstrating the making of origami pleats. Not only that, he stirs up some Brazilian caipirinhas (drinks) on the show. So multi-talented!
