Winner: MIscha Barton. Not that this is a shocker-most people put up against Paris Hilton will inevitably win the style prize. While both starlets do have that willowy, waif-ey shape that best accentuates this Greek-themed gown, Mischa is correct in letting the dress make a statement on it's own without cluttering up the look with too many accessories. Paris' choice of a matchy-matchy belt and headband turn her ensemble into more costume than couture, and her round toe pumps are just all wrong. Barton's minimalist hair and makeup also help to complete her goddess-like look.
Winner: Again, Ms. Dita makes our Smackdown list and again, she emerges victorious-but this time it was close. Both women look very feminine and pretty in the Mabille dress. But it's the burlesque beauty who kept the proportions right on the eccentric frock, keeping it longer and more elegant. Her jeweled studs, neat curls, and black ankle straps provide a more polished look than Knightley's choppier skirt and clunky pumps.
Winner: Call me seasonally biased, but I am just over the shots of layered cardies and black stockings! For that reason alone I award Zoe with the prize; but all biases aside, her simple look is more aesthetically pleasing while Olivia's demure cover-ups hide the pop art elements of the dress. Zoe's skin is glowing against the bright DVF palette and she looks chic and unfussy with her side-swept bangs and cute clutch. Zoe definitely could have taken more risk with her shoes-something fun and eye catching like a Zanotti sandal perhaps-but she still gets the kudos overall.
Heidi Klum vs. Dania Ramirez in Matthew Williamson
Winner: I'm gonna have to go with Heidi on this one, another style icon who pretty much always looks fabulous. Her 'business with attitude' suit by Williamson is tailored incredibly to her shape. By pairing the suit with a simple white top, brooch, and black pumps the end result is a look consisting of several key pieces working seamlessly together. Although Dania's pulls it off by pairing just the blazer of the suit with a black minidress, her look is kinda safe, kinda blah, and would probably be more high fashion-looking if she just buttoned up.
Winner: Demi Moore. I am usually all about showing off your natural assets, especially when you can do it without putting the girls on display. But this dress has a lot going on between the vibrant hue, the ruffled skirt, and the criscrossed halter straps. These elements together make the dress a very, 'Wear At Your Own Risk' piece. As a result, it's not the best choice for Aubrey who is already top heavy-the way the fabric lays makes her appear bigger than she already is. Plus her overly blond extensions don't do much to take away from the slightly porn star look. Demi's a tough act to take on the first place but everything works for her here, especially the length of the dress and her complementary raven waves.
