Bucktown Boutique Le Dress
celebrated their first anniversary Friday with a swanky soiree and
fashion show themed 'City of Lights', set perfectly against a glowing
backdrop of the Chicago skyline at night. Perched at the 21st floor of
the Rivernorth Dana Hotel, the Vertigo Sky Lounge
served as the sleek setting for the festivities. Guests of the party
had the choice to either schmooze inside amongst a cool, geometric
formation of leather stools while a slideshow played the various
accolades that Le Dress
has collected in it's premier year; the more bold attendees braved the
heights and the chilly Chicago evening to take in the breathtaking
views of the outdoor patio, and sidle up to the built-in fire pit.
the show began, models suddenly appeared among the guests, walking
through the throng and carving out their own runway. Each was
resplendent in a signature frock from Le Dress's
current selection, and made her way through both the interior bar and
the crowded outdoor patio. The dresses, ranging in price from $40 to
$400, included a mixture of well known and indie labels such as Liquid, Bread and Butter, Laundry by Shelli Segal, Tea & Honey, For Love of Liberty, ABS by Allen Shwartz, and Rufus.
The boutique is owned by sisters-in-law Eva and Robin Anderson,
both with backgrounds in fashion design and global fashion experience
under their belts. During their first year in business they have
enjoyed honors such as sweeping the first annual 'Battle of the Boutiques' awards where they took home both the People's Choice and the Judges Choice awards. They have also been featured in the 'Best of Chicago' columns of Chicago Social, Chicago Red Eye, and the Chicago Sun Times. We wish them the best of luck for the upcoming year!
Le Dress is located at 1741 W. Division St. in Chicago.
