It was reported by E! News that designer sophisticate Vera Wang will indeed participate in the next season of Dancing With The Stars. Although the news has yet to be confirmed from either Wang's reps or the show's, fans of DWTS are already gearing up for what they hope to be an exhilarating season with the possible inclusion of the designer. Though a far cry from the couture bridal confections that Wang is best known for, Dancing may not be as much of a departure for her as some people might think. Wang actually grew up figure skating (which we can believe judging from her slight figure) and kept the ice close to her heart later in life by designing costumes for Olympic skaters Nancy Kerrigan and Michelle Kwan.
Vera Wang would be the first famous designer on the show and should have no problem providing her signature touch of class to the show. She will, after all be holding rank among former pop stars, C List actresses, comedians, and random other personalities of midgrade celebrity. This will be a first for the DWTS wardrobe crew as well, having not only a well known designer in the cast but also one that has created the same type of glitzy, show pieces. We just hope they'll give her full reign on the design of her costumes, if not everyone else's as well.
