Max Irons in the Mango's fall ad campaign
Scarlett Johansson, the new face of Mango’s fall
women’s ad campaign, now has a male partner — Max Irons, who has provided his painfully good looks his looks to the ad campaign for HE Homini Emerito, Mango’s
men’s wear line.
The 23 year-old Brit is son of legendary British actor Jeremy Irons and Iris actress Sinead Cusack, so he seemingly has a wealth of talent as well as good looks in his blood. Irons, who has acted alongside Colin Firth in a London production of "Dorian Gray", and starred in Friendrich von Schiller's theater drama "Wellenstein", has previous modeling experience under his belt. In a spring 2007, Irons held his own with the great Kate Moss in a spring Burberry campaign shot by Mario Testino.
Max will take succeed Vladimir Restoin-Roitfeld, son of French Vogue editor in chief Corine Roitfeld and Mango's former chiseled face. Restoin-Roitfeld shot his ads with sister Julia, but we're thinking irons might appreciate Johansson as a modeling partner he's not related to. Other relations in the campaign include the campaign's photographer, Francesco Carrozzini whose mother, Franca Sozzani heads up Italian Vogue.
Irons reportedly pleased the crew of his recent Barcelona photo shoot by cracking jokes and providing feedback on his film. He was shot mostly in layers of outerwear to showcase Mango's fall collection. The photos are scheduled to debut worldwide in July.
