Rumors have been all aflutter about the whereabouts of Marc Jacobs' upcoming wedding to longtime partner Lorenzo
Martone. The most recent location leak was said to be picturesque Provincetown, Mass. on Cape Cod. Although the reports are yet to be confirmed, it is true that Jacobs' business partner, Robert Duffy, own a seaside home in Provincetown which could be a potential site for the nuptials. Another reason for the area's potential popularity is the state of Massachusetts' legal right to marry same sex couples, which was extended five years ago.
And while some are wondering if this could be a prospect, others are saying that not only is Cape Cod the designer's choice, but that the ceremony has already happened! One
Provincetown caterer said he thought the ceremony took place this past weekend.
A local airport employee said the couple wedded in neighboring Truro last
Thursday in a ceremony attended by Sarah Jessica Parker and
Cyndi Lauper. Locals were sure the reception went down at The
Red Inn, a high-end restaurant close to Duffy’s house, last weekend.
All sources close to the designer and his partner say that the allegations of the couple being wed are false, though they are keeping Cape Cod as a top priority for the eventual exchange of vows. Any chance we'll find out before the blessed event occurs? Not likely-Jacobs and Martone are expected to take extra precaution in keeping the actual date quiet.
