Simona Kogan for Second City Style Magazine
What’s worse then having your tragic death overshadowed by the likes
of a music icon’s untimely passage? Not being remembered for the fashion style icon you really were!
American actress Farrah Fawcett fought a harsh battle with
cancer and lost at age 62. To make matters worse, it felt like her life
and celebrity status couldn’t be celebrated properly as music superstar
Michael Jackson died tragically around the same moment.
Now it’s time for Farrah to finally get her due… at least in the style department!
After all, she was one of the pioneers of all things jumpsuit,
high-waist, and of course, that iconic red one-piece that instantly
turned her into a 70s sex symbol in ways Charlie’s Angels could never do!
The feather-haired, blue-eyed bombshell was also one of the
forefront runners of the jumpsuit, whether it was a romper with short
shorts or a billowy one-piece with bell sleeves. These days, the jumpsuit is making a ferocious comeback, whether it’s Chloe’s khaki look or Stella McCartney’s halterneck piece. Could this be an ode to Farrah? Not exactly. Nothing could say jumper quite like Farah said it, loud and clear in the ‘70s.
