Despite Forever 21’s ever expanding web of copyrighting and infringement suits, the retail giant, who has made a controversial name for itself through its mass-produced trendy and dirt cheap designs, has announced it will be expanding its design realm to include beauty and houseware goods. The L.A. based retailer stated that the new products will be in stores by the end of this year, starting with some of the largest locations like 15 former Mervyn's stores. The company also claims that the beauty and home goods will initially be available separately, then after some time the products will be infused with the rest of the Forever 21 XXI line. Although the company may be paying millions in reparations to various companies who have claimed the retailer has copied their designs, the store decided to expand further after the substantial success of its last breakthrough ventures of swimwear and plus-size apparel. Hopefully the designs of the new beauty products and home goods will be original enough to keep the retailer out of the courtroom for awhile.
