It has just been announced that Chicago designer Isabel Toledo will be honored at The American Folk Art Museum at a July 22nd benefit at trustee Stephen Corelli's house in New York City's TriBeCa. This announcement comes on the heels of the consistent success of designer's exhibit at the Museum at the Fashion Institute of Technology. The exhibit has been reportedly bombarded with fans and tourists since opening on June 17th, even selling out tickets on Tuesday and Saturday afternoons, the most "unprime" time for museum outings in the summer. The exhibit, called "Isabel Toledo: Fashion From the Inside Out," chronicles Toledo's achievements in fashion and design, with the headlining attraction the lemongrass ensemble First Lady Michelle Obama wore to the 2009 Presidential Inauguration. “It’s like Mecca.
