Christian Siriano's collaborative plans with Starbucks are still under wraps
Today is a hallmark day, for no other reason than the fact that Starbucks is giving away free pastries with any beverage. Until 10:30 a.m. or until they run out, whatever comes first. But there is also reason to celebrate today with the highly anticipated unveiling of designer Christian Siriano's holiday collaboration with the morning beverage mega-brand. Siriano, of Project Runway fame, has already made a name for himself beyond the reality t.v. realm with an exclusive runway show in Bryant Park and an extensive collection currently held at Saks. And now—he has made the jump over to consumables, an we can't wait to see what he has up his sleeve! Although Starbucks reps will be privy to the deal by tomorrow, the rest of us will have to bide our time until November 17th to scope out Siriano's plans. New York Magazine's humorous, though eerily accurate predictions of what the designer may debut range from a couture coffee cozy (shed the cardboard holder) to spangled Santa-themed outfits for the green-aproned employees in honor of the season. Whatever it turns out to be, we're sure Siriano's innovations will not disappoint. Now if we could only get Starbucks to put out his collection during those awful morning lines.
