New plans have just been announced by Meredith 360, Meredith Corporation's marketing unit, that bestselling author of 'Sex and the City', Candace Bushnell is embarking on a new stylish endeavor with More magazine. The author has agreed to pen four webisodes in a new series called, "The Broadroom." The web series will be presented by Maybelline New York in accordance with their new Color Sensational Lipcolor and will feature a celebrity ensemble cast including Jenni Garth (the original 'Beverly Hills, 90210'), Jennifer Esposito ('Samantha, Who?'), Talia Balsam ('Mad Men'), and newcomer Lauren Devereux. Legendary comedic director of classic sitcoms 'Roseanne', and 'Designing Women,' Ellen Gittelsohn, has also signed on to direct the webisodes that Bushnell will write and Meredith Corporation will produce.
The series is currently in production in New York City and a premiere date has yet to be revealed, though Bushnell has already promised to co-host an exclusive Webisode Premiere Party, along with More magazine's editor-in-chief Lesley Jane Seymour and Maybelline, in New York this September. "I'm thrilled to be working with Maybelline and Meredith Corporation in this new media platform, " Bushnell said. "We hope to entertain women with humorous stories that make us realize how extraordinary every woman is."
Bushnell has recently joined the staff of More magazine as a contributing writer and will write on various topics for the September and October issues. The magazine seemingly loves having her on board, as Seymour noted, "Candace brings a fun, fresh voice to More that we know will resonate with our smart, sophisticated readers. It's always exciting when you can work with someone as engaging and recognized as Candace to share her voice and expertise with our audience." As part of that exact audience, we sure can't wait to see what she's got up her designer sleeve!
