The Fashion Group International's 'Night of Stars' has already made headlines with the announcement that Oscar de la Renta would be receiving the prestigious Superstar award at the "Storytellers"—themed event. Now more well known names are appearing on the fashion bill to be honored including Michael Kors, Gucci’s Frida Giannini, Dior Joaillerie’s Victoire de Castellane and milliner Stephen Jones. The heads to be awarded outside of the fashion realm include Coty Prestige’s Catherine Walsh in the beauty category the Clodagh firm for architecture. Diesel’s Renzo Rosso will take home the event’s corporate leadership award, and Kenneth Cole will be honored with the organization’s Humanitarian Award. "This year, we are celebrating a wide range of unique and accomplished
talents who have created fascinating narratives for their brand,” Margaret Hayes, president of The Fashion Group International, said. To further illustrate this theme, the FGI will award the Bravo network, creator of many style-savvy (and wildly entertaining) narratives, with The Lord & Taylor Fashion Oracle Award. Chief execs Frances Berwick and Andy Cohen are slated to accept the award on behalf of the network. The event is set to be held on October 22nd in New York City.
