Another stylish philanthropic partnership has been fostered as a ways for us all to look good while we give back. This time beauty baroness Bobbi Brown of Bobbi Brown cosmetics has teamed up with handbag connoisseur Lauren Bush to design and launch the Feed 10 Pouch. The $50 organic makeup bag, filled with three of Brown’s best-selling
lip glosses, was developed in partnership with the United Nations World
Food Program. The proceeds from the bag will benefit the U.N.'s Food for Work program, which provides meals to disadvantaged women who participate in job training programs. Both Brown and Bush, who met skiing in Telluride, Colo., are enthusiastic about the new collaboration and co-hosted a lunch at Brown’s downtown offices Thursday to celebrate. Bush, who's already participated in the five other charity bag designs, called the project, “a dream come true. It’s women supporting women.”The makeup bag/clutch hybrid will be available this October and sold exclusively in at Bloomingdale’s and Bobbi Brown stores, as well as online at bobbibrown.com and bloomingdales.com. According to Bush, each pouch sold will support 10 women in a Food for
Work program. Sales of previous Feed bags have provided 50
million meals to date.
