It was really only a matter of time before we heard about yet another celebrity of some sort turning their bored and rich sights to the realm of designing. The latest case comes as arguably the least surprising since newly minted designer Katie Holmes is probably one of the richest and most bored domesticated celebrities out there (hey, at least Victoria Beckham hangs out with her husband). But now it appears to be true that Posh's BFF Holmes has set herself up for the dog eat dog world of clothing design, having partnered up with her longtime stylist Jeanne Yang. Holmes has been subtly showcasing the duo's looks for some time now, but mostly, it seems on an experimental scale to test the waters before the official launch. Now the line has dropped under the groundbreaking name of Holmes and Yang and is slated to be offered exclusively at Maxfield in L.A. this fall. The collection will include Katie-inspired womenswear and (shockingly enough) Suri-inspired childrenswear. Holmes seemed to be emboldened by her previous out-of-box projects such as appearing on Broadway and "So You Think You Can Dance," and calls her collection with Yang "classic fare." We'll see if the clothes are able to make more headlines than Holmes herself these days. At least she's giving her stylist some credit!
