The Judith Ripka and Essie collection: I Heart My JR Jewels, Put a Ripka on It, and Queen of Hearts

We first brought you the news back in May about fine jewelry designer Judith Ripka teaming up with polish powerhouse Essie to create a line of nail colors infused with actual diamond dust. If the alleged fall mania for matte isn't your thing, then might as well amp up the shine with the diamond-infused glitterati. The trio of bling-titled hues hit the shelves of salons and online beauty supply sites earlier this month and are already taking their place in the ranks of the current nail color revolution. The three shades include Put a Ripka on It, a soft, neutral baby pink; Queen of Hearts, which fulfills the staple of the classic, vampish red; and I Heart My JR Jewels is a surefire must have for fall as a rich, velvety burgundy that's far less severe than former fall-ish trends of gray and black. The polishes retail for $15 each due to the diamond dusting but so far testers of the colors have boasted a longer mani lifespan in addition to the serious shine. One shouldn't see the line as the line as overtly expensive polishes, but rather the cheapest possible way to flaunt some serious finger ice.
