Rachel Yeomans for Second City Style Magazine
The runways that are the city sidewalks always leave me something to
ponder and appreciate until the various fashion events come around the
corner. Lately I’ve been noticing the ingenious stylistic creations that the female has materialized from the simple combination of shirt and skirt.
During the working day, the sidewalks are covered with women carrying portfolios, briefcases and coffee mugs, all the while turning heads with perfectly accentuated waistlines achieved by a simple blouse tucked into a pencil skirt.
The evenings aren’t much different — just take away the portfolios and
briefcases. And instead of the blouse and pencil skirt, you’ll see a fitted ribbed tank tucked into a bubble mini jean skirt with flats. Both looks are completely different, however the end results prove equally fashionable — all it seems you have to do is tuck it in.
