Ever since the news dropped this past spring that design wonder Christopher Kane would be creating his own 39-piece collection for British retailer Topshop, frenzied fans everywhere have been trying to get their hands on a blurred, grainy image of the pieces anywhere they could. Now, with the line set to hit stores next fall, more and more shots of the line are leaking out. The pieces retail from $60 to $310 and include dresses, bags, shoes and separates. The overall aesthetic of Kane's collection draws from a mixture of ethereal and tough. Feminine silhouettes in pinks, yellows, and creams are punctuated by studs, over-sized jewels and flashy mirrored accents. Long, screen-printed tunics offer up eye-popping, animal graphics. Metal "eyelets" and mirrors are arranged intricately on nearly every surface of fabric, from evening wear to hoodies to jeans. A couple standout items include the futuristic, second skin-like mirrored leggings that create an arguably more glam option of pants-lessness, and the slouchy leather 'Eyelet Maxi Bag' which seems to embody the entire collection and complements each piece seamlessly.
