I smell something yummy. Let me rephrase, I now smell yummy! I am totally digging Gucci's newest scent, Flora by Gucci. This intoxicating sophisticated floral scent's inspiration originates from an iconic design from the Gucci archives that was recently rediscovered by Gucci Creative Director Frida Giannini. From its original
incarnation as a silk scarf (the pattern lines the box) specifically designed for Princess Grace in 1966, Flora possess a timeless allure.
The fragrance itself has opening notes of both Rose and Osmanthus flower, a rare and delicate bloom originating in China. Fresh citrus and peony are used as top notes and the base notes are comprised of Sandalwood and Patchouli. Even though I normally shy away from Patchouli, it is not overbearing in Flora. I find I normally wear floral scents in the summer, but this particular floral scent is actually perfect for fall. Very unusual. I typically do not review many perfumes as I am very picky and generally like few…at least for long periods of time. I am confident Flora will be one of my go-to scents until I finish the bottle.
