Fresh on the heels of their upcoming line for retail chain Target, Kate and Laura Mulleavy, the design duo behind Rodarte, is gearing up for another out-of-box venture—this time in the film industry. The two sisters and self-professed movie junkies, especially gruesome horror flicks like Texas Chainsaw Massacre, have teamed up with Beverly Hills talent agency William Morris Endeavor Entertainment. According to a statement released by the agency, WME has signed Rodarte to “advise the label on opportunities in publishing and film and identify potential strategic partnerships and sponsorships.” If the sisters do end up directing, producing, or starring in a film about their line (or their lives) they will join the ranks of famous creative names immortalized on screen like Coco Chanel, Valentino, Marc Jacobs, and most recently Anna Wintour! Marketing company Black Frame, which has worked with Rodarte since 2005, will continue to do the brand’s global communications.
