Today marks the debut of the highly anticipated new Candace Bushnell web series called "The Broadroom." The webisodes—written by 'Sex and the City' author Bushnell and directed by acclaimed sitcom director Ellen Gittelsohn—provide a comical perspectives on the life of women in the workplace, touching upon every subject from male bosses to breast feeding, sort of a 'SATC' for the corporate career woman. The four-part series features such familiar names as Jennie Garth (the original 90210), Jennifer Esposito (Samantha, Who?), Talia Balsam (Mad Men), and Broadway actress Mary McCann. The newest name to the roster is breakout performer Lauren Devereux. Together they form the ranks of Bushnell's new covetable gal group—Natasha, Roan Julie, Lucy, and Brittany.
With tonight's launch, the author—coupled with More magazine's editor-in-chief Jane Seymour and the web series' sponsor Maybelline New York—will be hosting a kickoff party in New York. The other dates of the four part series are September 25th, October 9th, and October 23rd. "While the workplace is the backdrop for these webisodes, women everywhere will recognize something about themselves in these characters," Seymour said. "Candace has created funny and relatable situations that will get water cooler conversations started all over the world—that's the beauty of the internet!"
