Given the whirlwind of activity backstage before a fashion show, the hair and make-up gurus we interview are astonishingly gracious. Unsurprisingly, none are more so than Ted Gibson. The guy I think of as 'The Nicest Man in the Beauty Business' was actually apologizing to one of his models as he brushed her hair into a tight ponytail, saying, "I'm sorry sweetheart… I know this is really tight."
And it was. The look on the runways was tightly pulled back and slick, a "very deliberate" look Gibson said was inspired by the architectural nature of Tony Cohen's clothes.
Gibson said that the key to getting the look is to pull the hair to the middle of the back of the head rather than the top. From there, pile on Ted Gibson Fix It Styling Gel to get a wet-look shine.See the Top Ten Summer 2016 Trends for Women Over 40
