The Tracy Reese Spring '10 collection was one of the few to play with
romance this season, and it was most successful when the romance had a little edge. Styles
ranged from body conscious silhouettes and draped jersey to polite
ruched garden dresses in pastel florals. I loved the styling of bright florals with tough back pieces, as well as some of the flirtier looks, like the sheer slip dress with polka dot overlap. While the skinny pants, fun skirts and
shirt dresses are sure to be a hit, I was surprised to see the bubble
hem back so soon, and wasn't crazy about the delicate prints or sheer fabrics with a hint of iridescence.
Overall, the juicy colors and easy shapes provided a welcome energy and an accessible glamour.

Color Palette: Goldenrod, black, passion fruit, ecru, blueberry, flint, honeydew, periwinkle, pear, crocus, zebra and floral prints.

Textures & Details:
Sequins, lurex, jersey, macrame, lace, matte sateen, denim sateen,
aplique dots, leather, stretch, twill, embroidery and embellishments.

Key Looks:
Black drapey twill jacket with goldenrod pinwheel t-shirt and passion
fruit stretch pant; blueberry 4-pocket tunic; blue shadow dots draped
frock; crocus macrame and lace little shift; honeydew lurex striped
pintucked slip.
