With my anticipation I headed to Roseland Ballroom. Reaching backstage to the organized chaos, I was lead to the Key MAC Makeup Artist, James Kaliardos. I was lucky to get a moment to speak to him amongst the flashes, recorders, and microphones, I asked him his inspiration for the looks. "Very Moroccan", he stated, with an instant thought of the very glamorous model-actress Marisa Berenson, circa 1972. So, for the look he made the models very glamorous, using shiny blues, sparkly lavender, and blacks. The eyes were prepped with cobalt cream base that was used to shape the eye. Then a sparkly blue eyeshadow, Deep Throat, was used on top. MAC's new Fluid Line Eyeliner in 'Wave Line' was used to line the eyes and was also used as a shadow. It gave the eyes it's smokey navy color.
Cheeks were colored with the new blush formula, Cream Blend, in peachy pinks and color such as 'Florida', a hot pink fuscia. Lips were done with Life is Lush Lip Jelly a peachy pink color. The skin was flawless, using MAC Mineralize Skinfinish SPF 15 Cream Foundation.

For hair Key Hairstylist Odile Gilbert, for L'Atelier 68, emphasized very long, sexy, curly hair. Using dark extensions to create the long, bouncy hair, she used products such as Moroccan Oil for shine, and 'lot's of hairspray. Using a two-inch curling iron, hair was curled in sections and pinned up, then the curls were let loose. Moroccan Oil Intense Curl Cream was used throughout the hair for added texture to the deep curls. A thick, French braid was added to the front of the models head that extended from one side to the other. Hair was finished with Moroccan Luminous Hair Spray.
False gold nails were developed for the models by CND out of high shine foil, to match the earthy tones of the show. Toes were painted with a sheer bronze lacquer.
