Celebrity Trends. Celebs Hit Trends From New York Fashion Week Spring ’10–in London and Milan!

September 28, 2009 • Fashion

When SCS Editor-in-chief Lauren Dimet Waters recapped New York Fashion Week, she told us about the most prominent trends that were seen on the New York spring runways for 2010.

But it seems, these trends aren't just for Spring. As we can already see, the trends are already being worn to other fashion shows, at least where celebs were concerned.  For instance, we already saw many of the trends on stylish stars in the front rows at many of the recent shows in London and Milan.

Perhaps because they score freebies or they're in touch with top designers, reports have said celebs are always ahead of their time, at least where fashionable trends were concerned.  And the reports are right.

Disco Dresses (sequins): Did we not gasp in awe when we saw this delightful gold sequined mini dress worn by Emma Watson at the Burberry show? What a sophisticated fashion star! (LFW)

Sharp Shoulders: The slightly sharp shoulders and unique cut at the collar added some oomph to Victoria Beckham's tight pastel blue dress at the Fashion East show. (LFW)

Sheer: Big time model Sasha Pivovarova's sweet floral dress on the Roberto Cavalli runway, hinted at just a bit of edge with the sheer neckline up. (MFW)

Stripes: While I mostly didn't agree with Alexa Chung's other fashion choices, the black and white stripes under the romper at the Luella were girlie and fun, but chic in the same moment. (LFW)

Animal Prints: Rahr! No, it wasn't a runway or a front row, but Claudia Schiffer looked stunning sexy in this green leopard print in a shift dress with a prominent animal pattern.(LFW)

Bows: Peaches Geldof plays up her sweet light purple, black piped dress with a perfect little bow at the collar. So Luella! (LFW)

Motorcycle Jackets: Former Destiny's Child Michelle Williams goes for tough but sweet with a motorcycle jacket royale topping her tiered and plaid dress at PPQ. (LFW)

Watercolor Prints: Superstar model Chanel Iman walked in many a show but I especially took notice of her dip dyed bustier and skirt at Ermanno Scervino.  It definitely picks up spring's swingy watercolor print trend. (MFW)

Shorts with Short Sleeve Top: Pixie Geldof makes Peaches look like quite the demure sister in this asymmetrical cut white short sleeve belly shirt tee and denim shorts for the Vivienne Westwood Red Label.  Hey, if the trend fits…(LFW)

Rolled Trousers: Jacquetta Wheeler throws a casual but cool menswear vest over her
stone-colored rolled trousers and white tee at Nick Knight's Show
Studio Opening Party. (LFW)

White: Tinsley Mortimer was a such a sight in pure white amidst the colorful confection that was the Mulberry show. (LFW)

Red: Here's a catchy red number on Joss Stone with some very some very strange ankle shaft shoes. This is a bit too much, even for Vivienne Westwood. (LFW)

Cool Sky Tones: At Burberry, the black-haired, big-banged Agyness Deyn was as funky as ever, pairing sheer knee highs and a gray coat over her sky blue princess dress. (LFW)

Marigold/yellow: I guess Naomi Campbell is as marigold/yellow as you're going to get at London Fashion Week–and check out that wild print! Get angry much?? (LFW)
